Dara Brewton

Dara has wanted to be an actress since she was a teenager, but it was when she fell into the director role on a 48-Hour Film Project that she discovered she liked being on the other side of the camera just as much. The creative freedom found in writing, directing, and producing is a high like no other. Since that first 48 film, she has written several scripts, produced, directed, and worn many other hats on a film set — and is ready to wear a few more!

Behind the Scenes

Dara and Tracie met in 2015 when they began working together as cast members on a comedy improv dinner show. They worked well together, but their friendship began to blossom when they found themselves in the same acting class in 2019. Soon Dara had convinced Tracie that they should lead a team in the local 48 Hour Film Project competition. Their first collaboration made it to the finals--and not only was the filmmaking bug firmly established, but so was their partnership as Angry Goddess. Their friendship is the foundation of it all.

Since then Angry Goddess has created several short films, written scripts for themselves and others, created acting scenes for reels, and established a TikTok comedy skit channel. Their collaborative magic is still going strong, and new things are always in store.
